Ingredients:
100% grass-fed + finished beef suet tallow
organic cold-pressed olive oil
organic beeswax
20% non-nano zinc oxide
jojoba oil
Our Sun Cream is the perfect addition to your beach bag or anytime you'll be catching some rays! Most sunscreens with zinc oxide leave your skin looking like a polar bar. Our Sun Cream blend rubs in really well and doesn't leave your skin white or greasy. Based off our ingredients and ratios, I would estimate this blend to be around 30 SPF. We use 20% non-nano zinc oxide + olive oil and jojoba oil have naturally occurring SPF. Tallow is also a great physical barrier to protect your skin from the chlorine in pools. Our Sun Cream is a whipped tallow, but it does harden some due to the beeswax. We recommend to not leave your tallow in direct sunlight or it will melt.
We render all of our tallow blends ourselves from 100% grass-fed + finished beef suet from local farms in IN/KY. All of our products are completely handmade in small batches with lots of love. Tallow comes from suet, which is the fat surrounding the kidneys. Tallow has so many beneficial properties and has been used for literal centuries to heal and moisturize the skin. Tallow is super absorbent and provides immediate availability to the skin. It's loaded with vitamins A, D, K, E and B12. Many use tallow skincare as a daily moisturizer, but it can also be used for skin conditions/rashes such as eczema and psoriasis. In our house, we use tallow for cooking and skincare, including lip balm, deodorant and a facial moisturizer. It's great for fine lines and wrinkles.
We do not use any artificial ingredients/preservatives in our tallow. It's important to store out of the heat and to keep water and bacteria out of your jar. Tallow is very shelf stable and is generally good for up to a year without issue.
